Making a difference

We are not a shelter, so intake solely depends on foster homes available, which are few and far between. In some cases you'll be asked to foster in place until a foster or partner rescue can be found. There are requirements to fostering in place for FCPA.  Fosters must not give away pets listed under the program.  You'll be required to fill out a foster application and found foster form to join this program. This program is perfect for folks in rural areas that need to move dogs off their property, but can keep them until transported or adopted out.

We don't pay for vet care for pet dogs or cats, but can give you a referral to vets that provide low cost services. Please consider applying for Care Credit and pet insurance ahead of time to provide for your dog/cat in the event of an emergency. And vaccinate, spay/neuter, deworm, and treat for ticks/fleas. We're consistently shorthanded on foster homes. It's one of the most enjoyable and loving things you can do in this life. And it's temporary. We provide the supplies and needed vet care. Fosters and volunteers are necessary to keep a rescue functioning. FCPA needs help with the following: fundraisers/marketing, website, social media pages, spay/neuter clinic organizers, grant writers, and most importantly foster homes. We traditionally transport our fosters to our approved and vetted partner rescues in bigger cities for them to handle the tedious process of screening and adoption. Not all foster dogs/cats will be put up for adoption, but the ones that are available for adoption will be posted on our website and shared on our Facebook page.
